Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (arena bank adjacent to field). It's a hairy plant which you can just see from the hairs on the stem. The calyx (and sepals) can be reddish tinged or greener as here.

West Mill Lane, Small Dole, Henfield, W Sussex. Unlike the other tares, the calyx teeth of Hairy Tare are equal in length and as long as or slightly longer than the calyx tube, as you can see here. Also the calyx and stem are hairy - hence the other name "Hairy Tare" - Smooth Tare is instead hairless, hence "Smooth"!.
